VDCC Academy in association with PD Cricket!
Based in Brisbane, the Valley District Cricket Academy (VDCC) was started by the club last summer with a view of providing an extra service to its key stakeholders and members. The club is very progressive and forward thinking and is always trying to improve what it offers to its members. The Academy was put in place to offer quality coaching that would suit all levels of player, both male and female. A key aim of the club was to attract some of the best coaches from around Brisbane to deliver the programs and this has been achieved.
The programs are driven and overseen by myself along with other highly qualified and experienced coaches. For our holiday camps you will find other coaches assisting and being provided with personal development opportunities under the guidance of the senior coaches.
The success of the VDCC has been largely due to the quality of the programs and their delivery. The club in its first year, also extended its Academy into Marist College providing support for the schools cricket program and providing an avenue for the schools players to be exposed to high quality coaching.
The club supported by myself and my company will be offering its support to other local junior clubs to assist them with providing a level of coaching that is hard to access anywhere else in Brisbane.
NEW PROGRAM FOR 2023/2024
The club will be offering new programs in 2023/2024. The club is in a position to offer an excellent level of coaching support and prides itself on its fantastic player to coach ratio. All lead coaches are either Level 3 or have a State or Australian playing background. This level of coach comes with significant experience and knowledge that the young players can tap into. The club has been extremely pleased with how the Academy has continued to grow and is now looking to build on that success.
The Academy is not a profit-making venture for the club as all money raised from the Academy by the club is reinvested into improving facilities, equipment and benefiting all those involved with the club.
